Commissioner of police of Chandannagar police commissionerate Dr HUMAYN Kabir IPS addressed press conference regarding the arrest of Varun Das, driver of Hooghly BJP President Subir Nag in connection with 2 murder cases and recovery of arms and ammunition.

Since the arrival of Humayun Kabir, crime has been stuck and controlled in the Chandan Nagar Police Commissionerate area. Recently, several criminals were arrested by the police by campaigning at the house of the infamous criminal Totan Das of Ravindra Nagar area of Chuchuda. After this, the police have now arrested another notorious again. It is being told that Varun Das’s arrest came from a club located in Chupura’s Peopleulapati area last night. Police have recovered two pipe guns and three rounds from Varun.Varun is said to be the driver of Subir Nag, president of Hooghly, the BJP’s organizational district. It is being told that two murder cases of 2009 and 2012 are pending against Varun. Police Commissioner Humayun Kabir said that in 2012 Varun had killed Pradeep Bose. Even in the year 2009, Varun was accused of murder. Humanyu Kabir said that he would apply for remand for the accused. Humayun Kabir urged the common people to know about the people’s past before hiring them properly.
