State Govt. Fire Department various technical safety guidelines for Durga Puja in Bengal.
The state government fire department is going to take an innovative step in Durga Puja throughout Bengal. Giving information about this, the fire brigade’s DG Mr. Jagmohan said that for the first time the fire brigade department is going to use fire ball made with state-of-the-art technology to extinguish the fire. CG Fire said that this technique is effective in controlling fire incidents of any size and type in indoor. The use of this special technique to extinguish the fire using this special system is also being used in outdoor. He told that with the efforts of the State Fire Minister Sujit Bose, the Fire Department is going to use this new technology especially before Durga Puja. Apart from this, to make common people aware of fire safety during Durga Puja, it has been made mandatory for all worship committees from the fire department to put up banners equipped with DOs and Do NoTs suggestions for safety from fire to visitors. According to DG Fire Jagmohan, the fire department is going to give special training to the people of large and medium worship committees of entire Bengal to deal with any emergency fire incident. According to him, each Pooja Committees have been asked by fire brigade department to compulsorily keep fire extinguishers or fire extinguishers.
