On the occasion of Children’s Day ,Sports program was held at metal and steel factory grounds at Ichapore. The program was organised by the renowned English Medium School of Barrackpore Douglas Memorial High School. Padma Bhushan awardee- footballer Baichung Bhutia was the chief guest of the ceremony . Program was also attended by legends of Bengal football- Subrata Bhattacharya, Alok Mukherjee , Sangram Mukherjee , Lal Kamal Bhowmick and others. School principal Sonia Gidla and Mr. Bhutia both stressed that it is high time to promote young talents from schools and educational institution and nurture them at the National & International levels.
