Kolkata : Fortis Hospital, Anandapur organized the Zonal Finals of the 6th edition of its National Psychology quiz programme ‘PSYCH-ED, 2022’ .Psych-ED, the National level annual psychology quiz for school students organized by Fortis Healthcare battled other schools in the zone to enter the National finals and it saw the participation of more than 900 schools across India.The quiz is designed for students from Class XI & XII, aiming to test their knowledge of Psychology and its concepts. As the online round of Psych-ED went live, more than 12,000 participants from over 215 cities across India

participated in the quiz simultaneously.
The quiz was conceptualized and executed under the aegis of Dr. Samir Parikh, Director, Department of Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Healthcare Limited. The objective of the quiz is to impart learning while ensuring that the discipline remains engaging and fun for the students. The initiative is supported by GD Goenka University, Project CACA, Rupa Publications and Get-A-Whey Ice Creams.
The schools that qualified for the Zonal Finals were:

4. The BSS School, Kolkata
5. Shri Shikshayatan School, Kolkata
6. Modern High School, Kolkata
7. Krishna Public School, Raipur
8. Delhi Public School, Ruby Park, Kolkata
9. Abhinav Bharati High School, Kolkata
10. Christ Church Girls Senior Secondary School, Jabalpur
11. DAV Model School, Durgapur
12. Sunbeam English School, Bhagawanpur, Varanasi

Winning team from BSS School, Kolkata comprising of Rijula Chakraborty, Barnini Saha, Suchandrima Banerjee alongwith their teacher Shyamoshree Mukherjee said, “We are so excited to be going to Delhi! We’d like to thank our Psychology teacher the most- we were quite nervous, but she believed in us and helped us prepare. Let’s get PSYCH-ED!”
Speaking on this unique initiative, Dr. Samir Parikh, Director, Fortis National Mental Health Program, at Fortis Healthcare said, “The purpose of our efforts is to advocate for a much larger cause – sensitization and de-stigmatization of mental health and encouraging knowledge seeking on psychology for school students.
