Vidyut Jammwal’s IB 71 Trailer Unveils India’s Top Secret Mission from the 1971 Indo-Pak War
Kolkata : Action star Vidyut Jammwal is all set to bring a story of patriotism, bravery, and sacrifice to the big screen with his upcoming production IB 71. The trailer of the much-awaited patriotic spy thriller was launched recently, revealing a story of a top-secret mission kept under wraps for 50 years.
Vidyut Jammwal plays the lead role of an Intelligence Bureau (IB) agent who embarks on a mission to save the nation. Along with him, the film features the talented Anupam Kher and Vishal Jethwa, known for his impressive performance in the film Mardaani.
Speaking about the film, Jammwal said, “IB 71 is a story about the most classified mission that gave us an advantage in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. I am thrilled to bring this story of our IB officers who are the true unsung heroes of India.”
Directed by Sankalp Reddy, who is known for the national award-winning film Ghazi Attack, IB 71 promises to be a thrilling ride for the audiences with its suspenseful storyline and action-packed sequences. Reddy himself was shocked when Jammwal came to him with this story, but was appreciative of the actor’s willingness to step out of his comfort zone and take on an unconventional role.
The trailer launch was also a unique experience for fans, as they took over the city in IB 71 branded cars for the secret trailer launch, keeping it true to the theme of the film and the world of Intelligence Bureau (IB). The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar, T-Series Film and Reliance Entertainment and is slated for a theatrical release on 12th May 2023.
