“Sixteen-Year-Old Varalikka Manaksia’s Debut Book ‘Everything We Never Said’ Takes Readers on a Journey of Emotions and Resilience”
Kolkata : In a remarkable literary debut, sixteen-year-old Varalikka Manaksia, a student at La Martiniere for Girls, has released her first book titled “Everything We Never Said.” This collection of poignant poems is a reflection of her inner thoughts and a testament to her journey of self-discovery and resilience.
Varalikka, a young and talented writer, found solace in her writing during moments of solitude. Often seen nestled under a blanket on Saturdays, enjoying hot coffee and pizza, she poured her feelings onto paper, creating a collection of poems that encapsulate her experiences and emotions. Her words offer a glimpse into her struggles with mental health and how she conquered her battles by channeling her thoughts onto paper.
During the writing process in 2022, Varalikka discovered that her poems not only provided her with peace of mind but also resonated deeply with readers. The poems serve as a window into her soul, reflecting her love for life and her unique perspective. Varalikka was inspired by her friends and family members who triumphed over adversity, and through her book, she aims to inspire others to persevere through life’s ups and downs.
One of Varalikka’s most impactful poems, “The Declaration of Hate,” was penned during a challenging period in her life. Written as an emotional outlet, the poem explores complex feelings of anguish, pain, and love. Another poignant piece, “To the Day of Light That Awake Me…,” beautifully captures her nostalgia for her childhood home and the cherished memories associated with it.
The book launch event, titled “Everything We Never Said,” was graced by the presence of eminent singer Miss Jojo, actor Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee, and renowned art director and producer Nitish Roy. Varalikka’s dream of becoming a published writer has finally materialized, marking a significant milestone in her young life. Each poem in her collection holds a special place in her heart and is a testament to her growth as a writer and as an individual.
