Kolkata’s Iconic Red Road Set to Host the 8th Edition of Tata Steel Kolkata 25K

Kolkata : Tata Steel Kolkata 25K (TSK 25K), East India’s grand celebration of health and community, is set to return for its 8th edition on Sunday, December 17, 2023. The iconic Red Road will be the starting point for this World Athletics Silver Label Race.
Procam International, India’s pioneers of distance running, has announced that registrations for all five race categories will open on September 22, 2023, at 7:00 am IST. Registration will remain open until November 24, 2023, at 11:59 pm IST or until all running slots are filled.
This event, supported by visionary title sponsor Tata Steel, has steadily grown in prominence. Debashish Kumar, MLA, MMIC – KMC, expressed the city’s enthusiasm, saying, “TATA Steel Kolkata 25K is a fantastic platform for the promotion of sport.”
Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel, remarked on the event’s unifying power, calling it “the biggest participative sporting celebration that unites the people of Kolkata with pride.”
The Tata Steel Kolkata 25K is the only World Athletics Accredited 25K race, with a prize fund of 100,000 USD. This event brings together elite athletes from across the globe alongside India’s amateur runners.
In a bid to encourage inclusivity, the event offers various race categories, including the 25K feature race, the open 10K, Ananda Run, Champions with Disability, and Silvers Run. Reserved spots for women are available in both the 25K and open 10K distances.
