“Anushka Patra’s Gift to Durga Puja: ‘De De Pal Tule De’ Releases on Surasa Melodies Bangla”

In 2023, the tradition continues with “De De Pal Tule De,” a folk song sung by the renowned Anushka Patra and composed by Vishal Roy. This melodious offering comes courtesy of Bangla’s new label, Surasa Melodies Bangla, as a special treat for Puja enthusiasts.
Anushka Patra needs no introduction, having gained fame as the first runner-up on the 2020 Hindi Sa Re Ga Ma Pa stage and her subsequent popularity on Indian Idol in 2022. Her recent Hindi song, “Dil Ka Sauda,” composed by Himesh Reshammiya, garnered over 8 million listeners. Anushka’s love for singing Bengali songs remains unwavering, and she believes that folk songs hold a special place in any artist’s heart. She expressed her excitement about Vishal Roy’s composition and hopes that this folk song will capture the hearts of Bengal before the Puja festivities.
Vishal Roy, impressed by Anushka’s vocal prowess at a young age, chose her for this project. The collaboration resulted in a unique interpretation of the folk song.
