Kolkata : Procam International, organizers of the Tata Steel Kolkata 25K (TSK 25K), revealed Colin Jackson, former 110m hurdles world record holder, as the International Event Ambassador for the event’s upcoming edition on December 17, 2023.

Established in 2014, the TSK 25K revolutionized running in eastern India, gaining recognition as a World Athletics Elite Label Road Race. Jackson’s association elevates the event’s significance, celebrating Kolkata’s sporting fervor.

Jackson’s illustrious career includes victories at Commonwealth and World Championships, notably his historic 12.91 seconds 110m hurdles world record. He expressed enthusiasm, stating, “Running unites communities and promotes good health. Join me at TSK 25K to embrace this celebration of sports!”

Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel, Chanakya Chaudhary, hailed Jackson’s influence, anticipating his engagement to motivate participants towards a healthier lifestyle.

Registrations for TSK 25K categories – 10K, Ananda Run (4.5 km), Silver Run (2.3 km), and Champions with Disability (2.3 km) – remain open until November 26, IST 11:59 p.m., at tatasteelkolkata25k.procam.in/.
