ICAI President Unveils Vision “Drishti” for Accountancy Profession
Kolkata : The President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, unveiled the institute’s visionary roadmap, “Drishti,” during his inaugural press conference. Attended by esteemed council members, office bearers, and past chairmen, the event highlighted ICAI’s pivotal role in shaping financial standards and promoting inclusivity.
CA. Agarwal emphasized ICAI’s commitment to gender equality, with 29% of members and 43% of students being women. He outlined strategic initiatives under “Drishti,” focusing on digitalization, research, integrity, skill development, handholding, and transparency to propel the profession forward.
Additionally, ICAI’s efforts to bolster global opportunities for accounting professionals and infrastructure development, including the establishment of Centres of Excellence, were discussed. CA. Agarwal reiterated ICAI’s dedication to advancing the profession and contributing to nation-building.
