Celebration of 73rd Independence Day Of India in Aditya Birla Vani Bharati, Rishra
Aditya Birla Vani Bharati situated at Probasnagar, Rishra celebrated the 73rd Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour. The gamut of celebration activities was held in the school ground.
It commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolour by the Honourable Chief Guest- Dr. Prithviraj Sen, a Guiness World Record Holder and Eminent Writer. Besides him, Mr. Arun Kumar Hazra, a ‘Biswa Manab Samaj Sewa’ Awardee and the Founder President of ‘All My Friends’ and Legendary Footballer & Mr. Sisir Ghosh graced the auspicious occasion as Honoured Guests. The National Anthem was sung in chorus and it echoed in the entire school campus. The senior students marched in contingent to the beat of the drums. The parade reflected the discipline and decorum of the students. The celebration also included the Prize Distribution where meritorious students were awarded with Gold Medals and Trophies for their outstanding performance in academic and co-curricular fields. The students performed stupendously in the cultural programme through their song and dance drama entitled The Journey towards Independence. The spirit of freedom and nationalism was well exhibited through a spectrum of patriotic songs, dances and speeches. The celebration reached its limelight with the inspiring words of the Chief Guest.
The celebration concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Vice-Principal, Aditya Birla Vani Bharati, Mr. Goutam Sarkar. Thus, the eventful day marked a successful celebration of independence and due homage and honour expressed towards the people who played their part in the independence of our country.
