District Magistrate and district collector of Hooghly Y Ratnakar Rao,  IAS having mid day meal food with student of the government school in Hooghly as well as DM and his team is monitoring the entire mid day meal process in the school during special drive undertaken due to which the view of various government schools in Hooghly district was completely changed as the entire school administration along with teachers of the school were in full swing. Students of the schools were excited as earlier, they had read in the books about DM and Collector Y. Ratnakar Rao who was present in their schools under surprise inspection.The happiness of the students of the schools was doubled when Collector Sahib himself along with top officials of Hooghly District Administration ate mid-day meal with the the students . In many government schools in Hooghly district, when DM Saheb received complaints from student about problems in the matter of mid day meal or other basic needs in schools, DM Sahab took classes of teachers for stopping such problems. The Hooghly district administration came into action, launched a special campaign in 914 schools in the entire Hooghly district led by Hooghly DM Y Ratnakar Rao following the incident of serving only rice and salt in midday meal to the students in Chuchuda school.Giving information about the aforesaid campaign, DM Y Ratnakar Rao said that a total of 914 schools in the district were screened and inspected by senior officers of Hooghly District Administration under his leadership out of which 907 schools were found to have good basic arrangements including distribution, quality, reading and facility of mid-day meal. But only 7 schools have reported complaints and disturbances out of the 914 schools they visited. In these cases, the school administration concerned has been instructed to solve the problems with war-ready readiness as soon as possible. DM Y Ratnakar Rao said that he himself visited several schools, including Akshay Ambika Primary School in Sija Kamalpur Village Panchayat area of ​​Balagarh block, as well as meeting and interacting with people other than shop dealer, beneficiary. According to DM, this special campaign conducted by Hooghly District Administration was a complete success. He said that in the coming days also such campaigns will be carried forward. In case of any complaint, the district administration will take prompt action as soon as possible. Hooghly DM, along with students, ate mid-day meal while visiting various schools in Hooghly district. Even at the allotment of mid-day meal, the DM himself stood and monitored the entire distribution process. In this special campaign with Hooghly DM , ADM General Pradeep Acharya of Hooghly, ADM Development Pratip Mandal, including all the SDOs of the district, deputy magistrate, deputy collector and top officials of district administration and senior officers of education office were all present and contributed their service.
