International Temple Conference and Expo (ITCex) 2023 Concludes in Varanasi’s Rudraksha Convention Center
Kolkata : The first-of-its-kind International Temple Conference and Expo (ITCex) 2023, held at Varanasi’s Rudraksha Convention Center from July 22 to 24, concluded on a high note, celebrating a grand and meaningful festival. Representatives from 32 countries, including 1098 administrative delegates and leaders from Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, and Jain religious institutions, participated in ITCex.
The commemorative event was inaugurated by the Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Mohan Bhagwat, along with the founders of the conference, Girish Kulakarni (also the founder of Temple Connect) and Prasad Lad (Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and President of International Temple Conference and Expo 2023).
The highlight of the first day’s proceedings was the presentation of an inspiring letter by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, extending generous support for the initiative of International Temple Conference and Expo 2023. He emphasized that the participation of representatives from hundreds of temples in over 30 countries is not only beneficial for India but also serves as a strong signal for the global temple ecosystem’s resilience.
Girish Kulakarni, the founder of ITCex 2023 and Temple Connect, stated, “Over the past six months, we have invited and engaged with various temples, seeking their input on the program structure, and ITCex is the result of these discussions. We understand the significance of managing, operating, and administrating our temples, and it’s the first time that such a large gathering of leaders in temple management and services has come together in one place.”
The three-day event provided a platform for sharing insights, best practices, and fostering collaboration among religious institutions from different countries. It aimed to strengthen the global temple ecosystem and promote interfaith harmony.
The International Temple Conference and Expo 2023 concluded with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and commitment to sustaining the spiritual heritage and cultural values associated with temples across the world.
