Fortis Anandapur Saves Life of a 13-Year-Old Girl with Acute Liver Failure due to Hepatitis A
Kolkata, 22nd September 2023 – In a remarkable medical feat, the expert medical team at Fortis Anandapur, Kolkata, successfully saved the life of a 13-year-old girl battling acute liver failure caused by Hepatitis A. The young patient, presenting with jaundice, elevated liver enzymes, and brain swelling due to ammonia, was facing a critical condition when admitted to the hospital.

After 15 days of intensive care, the patient displayed significant improvements in liver function, reduced ammonia levels, and diminished brain swelling.”
