Hindusthan Club Hosts Debut Marathon 2023 to Promote Health Awareness
Kolkata : Hindusthan Club Ltd. unveiled its inaugural Marathon Run, slated for Sunday, December 10th at 6:00 A.M., heralding the club’s first-ever marathon event. Celebrating 78 years of history, the club aims to promote health and fellowship through this unique initiative.
Established in 1946 to foster camaraderie among like-minded individuals, Hindusthan Club gained renown for its hygienic vegetarian cuisine, devoid of onion and garlic, a tradition it upholds steadfastly. Embracing members’ aspirations, the club inaugurated a multi-storied facility in 2002, equipped with diverse amenities like gymnasiums, swimming pools, indoor sports, and a grand banquet hall.
President Narendra Kumar Tulsian expressed pride in the club’s growth, stating, “With nearly 2800 engaged members, we stand as a hub for family fellowship, offering a unique 10-story club facility, including recreational and dining amenities, distinguishing ourselves as the only club in India.”
The Marathon aims to integrate the club into Kolkata’s marathon organizers’ league, focusing on the theme “RUN FOR A HEALTHY YOU.” Initially targeting 1000 runners across 3, 5, and 10-kilometer categories, registrations closed early due to overwhelming response, promising a vibrant and successful event.
Mr. Tulsian extended gratitude for media coverage, emphasizing its crucial role in promoting health awareness. He expressed the club’s commitment to incorporating the marathon into its annual calendar, furthering its dedication to health and well-being.
