International Women’s Day Celebrated with Gusto and Recognition in Howrah Division, Eastern Railway
Howrah : Howrah Division of Eastern Railway observed International Women’s Day with zeal and fervor, honoring the theme of women empowerment. Led by Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Divisional Railway Manager, various activities were organized to promote and celebrate the achievements of women.
Shri Sanjeev Kumar, addressing the audience, underscored the global significance of International Women’s Day and its annual theme. He stressed the importance of acknowledging women’s entitlement to equality in all spheres of life.
In recognition of their invaluable contributions, Shri Sanjeev Kumar awarded 3 lady officers and 37 women staff, showcasing their achievements as a source of pride for Howrah Division.
Women empowerment, he emphasized, involves integrating women into the mainstream of development. He commended the women employees of the Railways for their dedication and ability to excel in diverse roles.
Highlighting the division’s achievements, Shri Sanjeev Kumar praised the collective effort to support and empower women further. Trains operated by women staff exemplified their capability and dedication, reflecting the division’s commitment to gender equality.
