Literature Reflects Society, and Poets and Writers Are Its Carriers: Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose
Kolkata: The literary capital of India, Kolkata, was soaked not only with the monsoon rains of Shravan but also with the gathering of authors and poets. The annual convention and award ceremony of the International Literary Organization, Rachnakar, was held with great pomp and dignity at the auditorium of the Indian Language Council. Literary figures from various regions of the country were honored with awards.
This year, the distinguished poet of Dingal from Rajasthan and a connoisseur of Rajasthani folk culture, the elderly litterateur from Bikaner, Shri Bhanwar Prithviraj Ji Ratnu, was awarded the highest Rachnakar Kolkata award, the Pragya Award, by the Governor of West Bengal, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose. The award included a check for Rs. 51,000, a ceremonial garment, a shawl, a garland, a citation, a memento, and a coconut.
Speaking as the chief guest of the event, Dr. Bose said that literature is the mirror of society, and poets, writers, and authors are its carriers. The auditorium of the Indian Language Council was packed during the ceremony. Along with Shri Bhanwar Prithviraj Ji Ratnu, a dozen other literary figures, poets, and writers were honored with various awards.
Distinguished guests included prominent literary figures associated with the RSS environment, Dr. Lakshminarayan Bhala, poet Pandit Suresh Neerav, renowned journalist Shri Vishwambhar Never, Assistant Director of the Rajasthan Information Center, Kolkata, Hinglaj Dan Ratnu, famous writer Dr. Indu Jhunjhunwala, and founder-president of Rachnakar, renowned poet Shri Suresh Chaudhary (Agrawal), and Arvind Singh, the grandson of the famous poet Ramdhari Singh Dinkar.
The chief guest, Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose, along with the other dignitaries on stage, highly praised Shri Suresh Chaudhary’s literary contributions and Rachnakar’s literary initiatives. The welcome speech was delivered by the literary minister of Rachnakar, Shri Rawel Pushp, and the vote of thanks was expressed by Suresh Chaudhary himself. The event was effectively anchored by the executive president of Rachnakar and famous poetess Dr. Rachna Saran.
